Clarity Brings Speed
The phrase “Clarity Brings Speed” emphasizes the importance of having a clear understanding of what you want to achieve.
I was talking to a friend a few days ago about how my Monday meetings with my team at DateNest usually go; We remind ourselves of the overall business goal and how we’ve agreed to achieve that, then each team member/leader proceeds to give an update on the task they were assigned the previous week and then a new set of task is given for the week.
I’ve seen that this works really well because it sets the tone for performance evaluation and ensures that we are all aligned and carrying out tasks and activities that will help us achieve the overall business goal. Adopting the culture of aligning the team with the business goal, has helped us achieve much more than I anticipated in the shortest time period and our productivity level is great!
Trust me on this, clarity brings speed, whether for your personal life or your business.
Without a clear vision, it’s easy to become lost or distracted, which slows down progress toward your goal. I have a 9–5, I consult and I also seat on the board of 2 other companies, so it’s usually common that things escape my mind or that I get lost sometimes, but I manage this by ensuring that there’s a clear goal for the week broken down into actionable plans/Todos, so anytime I feel lost, I just go back to my notes.
When you know what you want, you can make decisions and take action quickly and with confidence. This not only saves time but also increases your chances of success and productivity.
If you ever find yourself feeling lost or unsure of what you want to achieve, take a step back and remind yourself of your goals and action plan.
In conclusion, clarity is critical to success. So, take the time to clarify your goals, break them down into actionable plans, and stay focused on what you want to achieve. With clarity, discipline, and commitment, success is within your reach.
Remember, whatever you are not clear about, you cannot achieve. So, take the time to clarify your goals, and success will follow.
Here are a few things you can try this week;
- Identify what success means to you. Answer the question “What does success mean to you?”
- Break them down into actionable plans/activities
- Create a clear “how”. What do you need to do, and what help or resources do you need to achieve it?
- Be disciplined and committed to what you’ve written down
- Have a progress chart (0% — 100%) and update it as you move along. Celebrate the win no matter how small.
